Building relationships with your clients and customers is equally important online as it is in the off line world. First you should find where they “hang out” online, which social sites or community portals do they frequent. Then it’s time to interject your voice in the conversation and lead them to your content where you can prove yourself the expert in the niche. Create content and share it using sites like Facebook, Youtube or Hubpages to make sure they find you and get to know you.

Use links from these sites to direct them back to your blog or valuable information on your website, again solidifying that you are the one to listen to when it comes to blue widgets or whatever service you offer. From those pages, you can link them to your sales copy on your site where you can convert them into paying customers.
