How do I build a customer relationship with a stranger?

The answer is actually quite simple. One step at a time. You can relate this to any friend or significant other. You did not wake up one morning and say, “hey I have a good relationship with that individual.” It happened over time and was strengthened by building trust and confidence. The same goes for the customer. They will want to buy from you when they know you, like you and trust you, assuming your pricing and added value is competitive. Where we, as sellers, sometimes go wrong is when we try to circumvent or streamline the process. It might work in the short term, but over the long term you need to build rapport. Focus on building a strong foundation that will lead to a solid customer relationship and you will enjoy profits for a long time. Think we’re wrong? Try it and see what happens.
