Poker

Poker is one of the world’s most popular games and has been played for centuries. It’s a game of skill and chance. It’s a fun game to play and a great way to build your bankroll!

Poker Rules

The game begins with the dealer shuffles the deck and deals the cards to players in turn, starting with the player to the left of the dealer. A button (often a plastic disk in live poker) marks the dealer and moves clockwise after each hand.

Ante

Before the cards are dealt, each player is required to contribute an initial contribution to the pot called an ante. The ante gives the pot a value right off the bat and provides players with a small incentive to start raising early in the hand.

Blind

A forced bet made by the player to the immediate left of the dealer, before any cards are dealt. A “blind” bet consists of a small amount of money, usually a fixed number of chips, and it’s used to give players a small amount of action before the cards are dealt.

Bluff

A card or a series of cards, usually two or three of the same suit, that conceals a player’s intent and is designed to deceive other players into thinking the player has a weak hand. It can also be used to help a player make a stronger hand when it’s clear that he does not have a strong hand.
